During the time of Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel in regular Doctor Who, Rose and the Ninth Doctour go to the near future to save Jackie Tyler, Rose's mum. This gets into a conversation in which the Doctour tells Rose that Jackie has to be converted. Rose cries, but accepts Jackie's fate. She finds out that her dad has destroyed all the Cybermen.
